Arlene Cope Douthit

Mrs. Arlene C. Douthit, 98, passed away Monday, September 17, 2012 at Bermuda Commons Nursing and Rehab. She was born September 8, 1914 in Davie County to Walter Leon and Hattie Rosetta Smith Cope. Mrs. Douthit was a member of Macedonia Moravian Church. Surviving are a son, three daughters, seven grandchildren, seven great grandchildren, two great great granddaughters and two brothers. A graveside service will be held 1:00 p.m. Wednesday, September 19, 2012 at Macedonia Moravian Church Graveyard with Rev. Jeff Carter officiating. The family will receive friends following the service. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be sent to Hospice and Palliative Care Center, 101 Hospice Lane, Winston-Salem, NC 27101.
