Arlie Folger Lundy

Mr. Arlie Folger Lundy, 91, passed away on September 23, 2025, in Algonquin, IL. He was born on May 8, 1934, to Cornelius Gaither Lundy and Pearl Elizabeth Perry Lundy in Surry County, NC. Arlie was employed for many years with Philips Electronics. In his later years he enjoyed a career in real estate, using his talents for home renovation and restoration. When he wasn’t flipping houses, he was woodworking. Arlie created beautiful birdhouses, toys, and furnishings for his loved ones to enjoy. He will be remembered as an honest and hardworking gentleman who was proud of his Southern roots.
Arlie was preceded in death by his wife, Geneva Hicks Lundy; a daughter, Cheryl Elizabeth Lundy; and sisters, Opal Coe and Ruth Holmes. Surviving are three children, Deborah Pendell (Paul), Kevin Lundy (Michelle), and Deanna Wilson (Roger); five grandchildren, Paul Curtis Pendell (Whitney), Stephen Pendell (Anna), Brent Pendell, and Chandler Wilson (Corinne Kersey), and Shelby Wilson; three great grandchildren, Ella, Dean, and Zeke; a dear friend, Shirley Martin; as well as extended family and friends. 
A graveside service will be held at 12:00 PM, Thursday, October 2, 2025, at New Hope Baptist Church Cemetery with Rev. Stephen Pendell officiating. The family will receive friends on the night prior, from 5:00 – 7:00 PM, Wednesday at Hayworth-Miller Silas Creek Chapel in Winston-Salem.
