Arthur Norman Crews

KERNERSVILLE - Mr. Arthur Norman Crews, 92, passed away Thursday, October 16, 2014 at Hospice Home of High Point. Norman was born on January 2, 1922 in Guilford County to Joseph Oscar and Mary Lake McDowell Crews. He was a WWII Veteran of the US Army serving in the 385th AAA Battalion. Norman very proudly remained active with his WWII brotherhood reunions and events for over 50 years. He was a member of Kernersville Seventh-day Adventist Church and enjoyed baseball and cooking for his family. Norman was a loving husband, father and grandfather and will be dearly missed.

In addition to his parents, Norman was preceded in death by his wife of 58 years, Evelyn Crews; a grandson, Trent Crews; 3 brothers, Ray ""Pete"", Guy and Joe Crews.

Surviving are his son Art Crews (wife, Robin), a grandson, Noah Crews; many nieces, nephews and cousins.

A funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Sunday, October 19, 2014 at Hayworth-Miller Kernersville Chapel with visitation following. A private entombment will be held on Monday at Eastlawn Gardens of Memory Mausoleum.

Memorials may be made to Kernersville Seventh-day Adventist Church, 896 Old Winston Rd, Kernersville, NC 27284.

The family would like to extend a special thanks to the staff at Arbor Ridge, the Hospice Home of High Point and Dr. Aaron Boals office for their loving care. They would also like to extend heartfelt thanks to their special friends, Joey and Yvonne Coffey.
