Arthur Geane Richardson

Mr. Arthur Geane Richardson, 70, passed away on January 13, 2017, at W.G. (Bill) Hefner VA Medical Center Hospice Unit, in Salisbury, NC. He was born on July 20, 1946, in Forsyth County, NC to Eli D. and Norma B. Richardson. He was a veteran of the Vietnam War where he earned the Purple Heart. Geane was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Gerald W. Richardson. He is survived by his nieces, Norma Grey Richardson of High Point and Joyce Ann Burcham of Winston-Salem. A graveside service will be conducted at 11:00 am, Thursday, January 19, 2017, at Oaklawn Memorial Gardens with Rev. David Hastings officiating. The family will receive friends from 6:00 until 8:00 pm Wednesday, January 18, 2017, at Hayworth-Miller Silas Creek Chapel. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the W.G. (Bill) Hefner VA Medical Center Hospice Unit 1601 Brenner Ave, Salisbury, NC 28144.
