Arthur Lee Spaugh, 85, passed away on Thursday, March 19, 2026, at Clemmons Village II, in Clemmons, NC.
He was born on June 17, 1940, in Forsyth County, NC, to the late Walter Lewis Spaugh and Ethel Irene Brewer Spaugh. Arthur graduated from Reynolds High School in Winston-Salem, NC, before he served his country during the Vietnam War in the Medical Corps.
After being honorably discharged from the Army, he worked for R. J. Reynolds Tobacco Company for a short time. Arthur worked for Jostens as a printer in their yearbook department, where he eventually retired.
He enjoyed many hobbies, including woodworking, gardening, and golf. Arthur especially loved traveling to many different locations, primarily with family.
In addition to his parents, Arthur was preceded in death by his sisters, Etta, Mary, Betty, and Martha Ann; and brothers, Herbert and James.
He is survived by his sister-in-law, Dale Spaugh; nieces, Barbara Foltz Davis, Pam Orbison, Susan Thomason, Karen Lemons; nephews, James Spaugh, Jr., Wesley Isley; and numerous other nieces and nephews.
A memorial service will be held at 11:00 am on Thursday, March 26, 2026, at Friedberg Moravian Church, 2178 Friedberg Church Rd, Winston-Salem, NC, officiated by Rev. James C. Newsome, Jr. and Rev. James Spaugh, Jr. The family will receive friends an hour prior to the service in the church parlor.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Trellis Supportive Care, 101 Hospice Lane, Winston-Salem, NC 27103.
Hayworth-Miller Silas Creek Chapel is respectfully serving the family.
