Audrey Faye Church Warden

Mrs. Audrey Faye Church Warden, 82, passed away peacefully Monday August 11, 2014 at 5:45 AM at the Kate B. Reynolds Hospice House. She was born on June 7, 1932 in Winston-Salem to the late Doctor Grant and Beatrice Rash Church. Audrey retired from WFU Baptist Hospital as a Blood Gas Technician. She was an avid bowler and a member of the VFW Post 9010 and V.P. of the Ladies Auxiliary. Audrey attended Bixby Presbyterian Church in Advance, NC. She is preceded in death by her loving husband of 44 years, Mr. Samuel E. Warden, Sr., 3 brothers George, Paul, and Roy Church, 1 sister Ruth Helderman. She is survived by 2 brothers; Alvin and Earl Church, 1 sister; Joyce Hendrix, 5 children; Michael Warden of Salisbury, Deborah Long (Dean) of Millers Creek, Sam Warden, Jr. (Judi) of Pfafftown, Shane Warden (Lindsey) of Winston-Salem, Crystal Hughes (Scott) of Clemmons, 2 stepchildren; Yuvonne Phillips and Robert Warden, 9 grandchildren; Jason (Jennifer), Brian (Shannon), Melissa, Jonathan (Rian), Stephanie, Erik, Tyler, Marshall and James, 7 great grandchildren; Gracie, Griffin, Nolan, Greyson, Cooper, Bella, and Lilly. She also leaves behind a host of family and friends. Her unconditional love and quick-witted sense of humor made her a joy to be around. She was an inspiration to all who knew her and she will be missed dearly. In lieu of flowers the family requests that donations be made in her honor to the Kate B. Reynolds Hospice House in Winston-Salem, NC. There will be a funeral service at 2:00 PM Saturday August 16, at Hayworth-Miller Silas Creek Chapel with Rev. Pete Peterson and Mr. Ricky Hendrix officiating. Entombment will follow at Parklawn Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 7-9 PM Friday August 15, at Hayworth-Miller Silas Creek.
