Aurelia 'Jody' Swain Drane

Aurelia ""Jody"" Swain Drane, 68, of Winston-Salem, passed away Thursday April 4, 2013. Jody was born January 18, 1945 to Joe Bill and Pansy Nichols Swain. Jody was a devoted and loving mother and grandmother. Jody graduated from James A. Gray High School in 1964. She retired from Western Electric after many years of service. Jody was a member of Gospel Light Baptist Church where she was a volunteer for the bus ministry. She was preceded in death by her parents. She is survived by her very devoted son Darren Drane; and a very devoted grandson Casen Drane; two brothers, Rod Swain (Melissa), and Bill Swain (Mona); and numerous loving nieces and nephews. A graveside service will be held 2:00 pm Monday April 8, 2013 at Gardens of Memory, Walkertown, with Dr. Bobby Roberson officiating. The family will receive friends Sunday April 7, 2013 from 6:00 pm until 8:00 pm at Hayworth-Miller Silas Creek Chapel.
