Barbara Dortch

Kernersville – Mrs. Barbara Jean Cox Dortch, 84, passed away on Monday, February 1, 2021 at Forsyth Medical Center. She was born on October 13, 1936 to Morton Levi and Leona Utter Cox in Kalamazoo, Michigan.

In addition to her parents, Barbara was preceded in death by her loving husband of 48 years, Richard Warren Dortch. Left to cherish her memory are her three sons, Richard Dortch (wife, Janice), John Dortch (wife, Anita), and Rus Dortch (wife, Tita); five grandchildren, Rick, Mike, Jamison, Lindsay, and Heather; four great grandchildren, Rowan, Phoenix, Cove, and Aria; four step-grandchildren; several step great grandchildren; and nieces and nephews whom she loved dearly.

There will be no formal services at this time. There will be memorial service planned for later in the summer. Hayworth-Miller Kernersville Chapel is assisting the Dortch family.
