Barbara Ernest

Mrs. Barbara Rikard Ernest, 84, passed away on Wednesday, April 4, 2018 at Autumn Care of Mocksville. She was born on September 19, 1933 to Dorothy Inez Parrot Rikard and Jesse Olin Rikard in Forsyth County. Barbara was a founding member of Parkway Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her husband of 46 years, Bobby Teague Ernest. Surviving are her son, David Ernest (Dawn); grandchildren, Zak Crotts and Ryan Davis (Monica); great grandchildren, Hannah, Aaron, Kelsi, Keith, and Kade; as well as a sister, Mary Stanley. A funeral service will be held at 12:00 Noon, Saturday, April 7, 2018 at Hayworth-Miller Silas Creek Chapel with Rev. Stephen James officiating. Interment will follow at Oaklawn Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends for one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
