Barbara Jones

Winston-Salem- Barbara Felts Jones, 81, passed away on Friday, August 16, 2019 at her residence.  She was born on November 2, 1937 In Yadkin County, the daughter of Raymond and Louise Foreman Felts.  She was a member of Konnoak Baptist Church where she met her husband Buddy and sang in the choir. She (and her husband) were members of Heart of Carolina Street Rodders and she was retired from Royal Cake Co. after 30 years of service.  Barbara loved to collect music boxes, sing and enjoyed RV camping and traveling to car shows with her husband both locally and up and down the east coast.  She also loved her Atlanta Braves and the annual trips to see them play in person with her daughters. If you knew Barbara, you loved her. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband of 28 years, Buddy Jones; her first husband and father of her children, Robert Prevette; one brother and three sisters.  She is survived by her children, Terry Prevette (Debbie) of Burlington, Sherrie Prevette of Charlotte and Michelle Faw (Kent) of East Bend; her step-children, Vonita Cook (Chris) of Rural Hall and Wendy Bowers of King; four grandchildren; three great grandchildren and many step grandchildren, step great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews and friends.  A funeral service will be held at 2:00 PM Sunday, August 25, 2019 at Hayworth-Miller Silas Creek Chapel with Pastor Todd Felts and Rev. John Bishop officiating.  Burial will follow in Sunrise Cemetery, Jonesville.  The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.  In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Winston-Salem Ronald McDonald House, 419 S. Hawthorne Rd., Winston-Salem, NC 27103.
