Barbara Orrell Frye

Ms. Barbara Orrell Frye, 75, passed away Friday, January 5, 2024, at Atrium Health Wake Forest Baptist.  She was born in Forsyth County on August 31, 1948, to the late Steve Franklin and Ruth Jones Orrell.  Ms. Frye graduated from Davie County High School in 1966 and retired from Hanesbrands with 46 years of service.  She was a member of Bethlehem Methodist Church.  Along with her parents, preceding her in death was her infant brother, Steve Dale Orrell and the father of her children, Jimmy Frye.  Surviving is a daughter, Jamie Frye and a son, Steve Frye (Gail).  A funeral service will be held at 2:00 PM Thursday, January 11, 2024, at Bethlehem Methodist Church with Pastor Noah La Coursiere officiating.  Her body will lie-in-state 30 minutes prior to the service.   Burial will follow in the church cemetery.  The family will receive friends following the burial in the church fellowship hall.  In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Bethlehem Methodist Church Good Neighbor Fund, 321 Redland Rd. Advance, NC 27006.
