Barbara Jane Bowles McGee

Mrs. Barbara Jane Bowles McGee, 74, passed away at her home surrounded by her family on Wednesday, December 4, 2013. She was born on April 4, 1939 in Forsyth Co. the daughter of the late N. Wood Bowles and Helen Stone Bowles. Mrs. McGee was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, great-great-grandmother, sister and friend who will be missed deeply by all who knew her. She was a member of Woodland Baptist Church and had retired from AT&T with 13 years of service. Mrs. McGee is survived by her husband of 50 years, Everette Lee McGee of the home, two daughters, Trina McGee Brown (Mark) of Sumter, SC and Pamela Ann Reyes of Tobaccoville, two sons, Everette Deuran McGee (Nancy) and Franklin James Shouse Jr. both of Winston-Salem, 9 grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren and 3 great-great-grandchildren. She is also survived by a sister, Betty Bowles McGee (Keith) and two brothers, Jerry Bowles Weiss and William ""Billy"" Bowles. Funeral services will be conducted 2:00 p.m. Saturday, December 7, 2013 at Hayworth-Miller Chapel in Rural Hall with Pastor Tim Gammons officiating. Burial will follow in Crestview Memorial Park in Rural Hall. The family will receive friends from 12:30-1:30 prior to the service at the funeral home. Flowers will be accepted or memorials may be made to; Hospice and Palliative Care Center, P.O. Box 863, Walnut Cove, NC 27052.
