Barbara Mae Chatters Ransom

RANSOM Barbara Mae Chatters (who was affectionately known as Little Chat and Sweet Pea) was born on February 20, 1930 to Emile and Mae Chatters in Los Angeles, CA. She departed this life after several months of illness on Thursday, January 9, 2014 at the age of 83 years. She graduated from Los Angeles High School and worked in the aerospace industry for over 40 years at Rockedyne, Weber Aircraft, and she retired from Lockheed Martin. She married Nathaniel Ransom and they resided in the San Fernando Valley in CA. Later, she married Bob Moore and relocated to Mooresville, NC. She leaves to cherish her memories her husband and companion of 24 years, Bob Moore; two sons, Bruce Buckner of San Diego, CA and Anthony Morris of San Bernardino, CA; three daughters, Fabienne (Peter) Rauch of Charlotte, NC, Sandra (George) Livingston of Lexington, KY and Serena (Curtis) Gillis of San Diego, CA; two brothers, Ronald (Kathryn) Chatters of McDonough, GA and John Chatters of Victorville, CA; twelve grandchildren, Alicia, Luwana, Dana, Bruce, George, Briana, Lauren, Anika, Alana, Curtis, Nathaniel, and Leon; and a host of nieces and nephews and friends, her Karaoke gang at the Rivers Inn. A graveside service will be conducted Saturday at 3:00 PM at Sharon Memorial Park in Charlotte, NC with Father Vincent Curtin officiating.
