Barbara Ann Shelton

Kernersville - Ms. Barbara Ann Shelton, age 77, passed away Monday, March 21, 2016 at her sons' home in Hume, VA. She was born March 21, 1939 to the late Irene Elizabeth Sarver and George William Carter. She was preceded in death by her loving fiance', Bertrand Prevost, and her sister, Elizabeth Jane Noell. She was so loved and will be greatly missed.

Surviving are; two sons, Dale Robert Bowyer and wife, Michele, and Dennis Lee Bowyer, and wife Velvet, eight grandchildren, Lisa, Scott, Keri, Sierra, Denny, Julie, Sean, Linda; Two great grandchildren, Kayden and Savannah; nieces, nephews and many dear friends.

A Celebration of Life service will be following the service at the home of Dennis. A graveside service will be 11:00 am Saturday, April 2, 2016 in Mt. Gur Cemetery. Hayworth-Miller Funeral Home is assisting the family. Online condolences may be directed to www.hayworth-miller.com
