Barbara Smith

Mrs. Barbara Carlson Smith, 95, passed away Thursday, March 15, 2018. She was born on April 10, 1922 in Astoria, Oregon to the late William R. and Barbara M. Carlson. Mrs. Smith served from 1943-1946 in the Women's Army Corp (WAC) during WWII. She graduated from the University of Alabama. Preceding her in death was her husband, John Talbot Smith and a granddaughter, Alice Reynolds. Surviving are a son, Talbot Richard Smith (Barbara) of York, PA; daughter, Christie S. Reynolds of Portsmouth, VA; six grandchildren, Daniel Smith, Elizabeth Smith, Angela Fuller, Anthony Fizzano, Julia Smith and Eli Smith; also surviving are 10 great-grandchildren. A memorial service will be held at a later date.
