Barbara Ann Swaim Walker

WALKER Mrs. Barbara Ann Swaim Walker, 76, of Winston-Salem went home to be with her heavenly father above July 29, 2011. She passed away at the Kate B. Reynolds Hospice Home. Mrs. Walker attended Calvary Temple and retired from R. J. Reynolds Tobacco Company. Mom was loved by so many. She had a heart of gold. She loved writing poems and sending cards to everyone. She was the best mom in the world. Barbara was the daughter of the late Francis and Millicent Swaim. She was the wife of William (Jimmy) Walker who spent every second giving her the most wonderful care in the world. They were married 57 years. Thank you daddy. Other survivors include two daughters, Dianne Bodenheimer and husband, Jason and Tonya Robbins and husband, Brad; one sister, Sandy Smith; four grand kids, Crystal, Taylor, Matt and Misty; four great grand kids, Blake, Kylie, Lacie and Brooklyn; one aunt, Evelyn Brown; several nieces and nephews; and a special friend, Brenda Rakestraw. The family will receive friends Sunday from 1:00 until 2:00 PM at Hayworth-Miller Funeral Home on Silas Creek Parkway. The funeral service will follow at 2:30 PM at Parklawn Memorial Park Mausoleum Chapel. Memorials may be made to the charity of the donor's choice.
