Barry Duncan Lewis, Sr.

Barry Duncan Lewis, 84, of Winston-Salem, passed away on September 29, 2026, surrounded by the love of his family.

Barry grew up in Statesville, NC. He was the son of the late Harvey Bingham Lewis and Ruth Elizabeth Duncan. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Charles Carson Lewis.

Barry is survived by his wife, Patricia Alley Lewis, of Winston-Salem; two sons, Barry Duncan Lewis, his wife, Barbara, of Kernersville; Bryan Daniel Lewis of Winston-Salem; 12 grandchildren; and 2 great-grandchildren.

Barry was a graduate of Statesville Senior High School and attended W. W. Holding Technical Institute in Raleigh. He worked as a surveyor for the North Carolina State Highway Department, Kirkpatrick and Associates in Greensboro, I. L. Long Construction in Winston-Salem, Post Properties in Atlanta, and Lowe's Home Improvement Stores as a kitchen cabinet specialist.

The family would like to thank the staff at Arbor Acres Retirement Community for their care and support in his final days.

Final services have not been announced.
