Beatrice Powers Drugan

Ms. Beatrice Powers Drugan, 94, of Advance, NC, passed away peacefully at her home on December 5, 2025. She was born on March 23, 1931, in Cumberland County, one of nine children born to the late Mr. Clarence F. Powers and Mrs. Lula Grantham Powers.

Beatrice was a faithful and devoted member of Cornerstone Christian Church in Advance, where she found joy and purpose in serving with the Sunshine Servants group. Her commitment to her church family reflected her spirit and strong faith.

She worked for Piedmont Airlines until her retirement, where she met coworkers who became special friends. They continued their tradition of monthly luncheons long after retirement.

Beatrice was an exceptional cook with a remarkable cookbook collection, a passion she shared generously with family and friends. Her home was often filled with the comfort of her dishes and the laughter of those she loved.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in passing by her six brothers and two sisters.

Left to cherish her memory are her two daughters, Pamela “Pam” Yonce (John) and Teri Anderson (Carl); four grandchildren, Amanda (Carl), Robby, Meredith (Dean), and Megan (Lauren); and eight great-grandchildren, all of whom brought her immense joy.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday, December 13, 2025, at 2:00pm at Cornerstone Christian Church.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Cornerstone Christian Church, 1585 NC Hwy 801 N, Mocksville, NC 27028.
