Benny Eugene Jackson

Rev. Benny Eugene Jackson, 79, of Winston-Salem, passed away Wednesday, November 12, 2008 at his home. He was born August 29, 1929 to the late James D. and Iris Helton Jackson. Rev. Jackson was a pastor of churches for 51 years in Georgia, Alabama, Mississippi, Kentucky, Indiana and North Carolina. Surviving are his wife of 60 years, Mrs. Betty Mathis Jackson of the home; three daughters, Cheryl Raymes (Ken) of Evansville, IN, Becky Pierce (Dexter) of Hamptonville and Rachael Lewis (Tony) of Sacramento, CA; three sons, Benny G. Jackson (Melody) of Selma, CA, Maxwell R. Jackson of Evansville, IN and Scott Jackson of Fairfax, VA; 10 grandchildren, Jonathan Jackson, Jessica Jackson, Courtney Raymes Nalin, Laura Raymes Glover, Whitney Raymes, Stephanie Pierce, Spencer Pierce, Grayson Lewis, Christopher Lewis and Bailey Lewis; two great-grandchildren and a sister, Ramona Croteau (Richard) of Nashville, TN. A funeral service will be held 2:00 P.M. Monday, November 17, 2008 at Hayworth-Miller Kinderton Chapel with Pastor Jonathan Hill officiating. Burial will follow at Westlawn Gardens of Memory.
