Bernice McBride Everhart

Mrs. Bernice McBride Everhart, 90, of Winston-Salem died Thursday, December 10, 2015 at Kate B. Reynolds Hospice Home. She was born August 25, 1925 in Davidson County, the daughter of the late, Robert Henderson and Betsy Lynn Ida Sharpe McBride. Mrs. Everhart attended Davidson County schools and retired from First Presbyterian Church of Winston-Salem working in the nursery following 16 years of service. She enjoyed flowers and working in her garden. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Earl Lee ""Howard"" Everhart; two sisters, Lottie Cobb and Lorene McBride; two brothers, Robert McBride and Nick McBride. Survivors include one sister, Frankie Wooten and husband, Dwight of Mocksville; one stepson, Ronnie Everhart of Pauline, SC; one stepdaughter, Tammy Murphee of Union, SC; several nieces and nephews; and one special great great great nephew, Tyler Bowles. The funeral service will be conducted Sunday at 2:00 PM at Hayworth-Miller Silas Creek Chapel with Rev. Charles Lindquist officiating. The family will receive friends prior to the service from 12:30 PM until 1:45 PM. Burial will follow in Parklawn Memorial Park.
