Bernice Regina Meyer

Bernice Regina McGovern Meyer, 94, of Winston-Salem, passed away Wednesday, April 24, 2024, at Pine Ridge Health and Rehab. 

Mrs. Meyer was born October 15, 1929, in Queens, New York, to Bernard McGovern and Regina Bestenheider McGovern. She was a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and “Gigi” and will be greatly missed. In addition to her parents, Bernice was preceded in death by her husband, George John Meyer. 

Left to cherish her memory are three daughters, Patricia “Pat” DePaulis (Danny) of Winston-Salem, Penny Brown (Eric) of Winston-Salem, and Barbara Waller (Michael) of Welcome; six grandchildren, Brian DePaulis (Jennifer), Pamela Hipp (Jon), Jade Essick (Ryan), Clifton Carter, Ashley Brown, and Lauren Caneda (Jon); five great-grandchildren, Addison Hipp, Raegan Hipp, Jaxon Brinkley, Ryleigh Powers, and Jordan Caneda; and also one special niece, Linda Murnane. 

A graveside service will be held 12 PM Monday, April 29, 2024, at Parklawn Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 5:00PM - 7:00PM Sunday, April 28, 2024, at Hayworth-Miller Silas Creek Chapel.
