Bernie Jackson

Mr. Bernie Edward Jackson, 77, went to be with the lord on Wednesday March 13, 2019. He was born in Forsyth County on May 2, 1941 to the late Franklin Eugene Jackson and Maude Ziglar Jackson. Bernie Retired from RJ Reynolds and was an avid duke fan that enjoyed playing golf with his buddies and taking his grandchildren to Disney. He was a charter member of Faith United Methodist Church and a devout Christian with a servant’s heart. He would never turn down an oatmeal cookie or a Krispy Kreme donut but would also gladly offer you his last. Mr. Jackson also showed his desire to share by volunteering for many years at Forsyth Medical Center. He also was a member Mineral Springs Bulldog club. In addition to his parents Bernie was preceded by one sister, Betty Yow and Two brothers: Bill and Jack Jackson. He is survived by his loving wife Patricia Jackson; son, Mark Jackson (Rhonda); two grandchildren, Brittney and Travis Jackson; one sister, Doris Clark; and a brother Ted Jackson (Linda). A funeral service will be conducted 3:00 pm Sunday March 17, at Faith United Methodist Church. The Family will receive friends prior to the service from 1:00 to 2:45 pm. Family and friends are welcome to pay respects at the home of Mark and Rhonda Jackson as well. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Trellis Supportive Care 101 Hospice Lane Winston-Salem, NC 27103, or the Alzheimer’s Association 4615 Dundas Dr, Greensboro, NC 27407.
