Bertha Louie Turner

Miss. Bertha Louise Turner, 91, a loving aunt and Christian friend, passed away on Wednesday, October 2, 2013. She was born on October 1, 1922 in Winston-Salem to Miles D. and Annie S. Turner. A charter member of Green Valley Baptist Church, she served as Sunday School Secretary for more than 30 years. Miss Turner worked thirty two years at Carolina Narrow Fabrics, and for over thirteen years at Krispy Kreme on Stratford Road. She was an avid league bowler in Winston-Salem and Kernersville. She was preceded in death by her brother, Charles F. Turner. Surviving are two nephews, Dennis F. Turner (Gail) of Calabash NC, and Robert C. Turner (Vickie) of Winston-Salem; great nieces Lauren Hoolehan (Ed) of Hudson NC, Jennifer Seals (Jon) of Calabash, Marie Turner of Winston-Salem, and great nephew Rob Turner of Greensboro. A graveside service will be held at Forsyth Memorial Park, 11:00 AM Monday October 7, 2013 with Rev. Wayne Dunn officiating. The family would like to extend deep gratitude to Rev. Wayne Dunn and Bertha's church family for their faithful and generous care. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Green Valley Baptist Church, PO Box 850, Walkertown, NC 27051.
