Betty Lou Brackney

Betty Lou Brackney, 84, of Homestead Hills, Winston-Salem, NC, passed away Thursday, September 8, 2016, at her Homestead Hills home.

Betty and Bill Brackney had been married for 63 years. She is survived by her children, William S. Brackney of Asheville, NC, Bryan S. Brackney of Charlotte, NC, and Douglas G. Brackney of Mooresville, NC; grandchildren, Ashley Brackney Murray of Winston-Salem, NC, Austin Brackney of Kernersville, NC, and Justin Brackney of Spartanburg, SC. Mrs. Brackney is also survived by her great-grandchildren, Elliott Murray and Henry Murray, the children of Ashley and James Murray, and Lucie Brackney, the daughter of Austin and Katie Brackney.

The Brackney family will conduct a private memorial for both Mr. and Mrs. Brackney. Memorial contributions may be made to Hospice & Palliative Care Center, 101 Hospice Lane, Winston-Salem, NC 27103.
