Betty Glover Braswell

Mrs. Betty Starr Glover Braswell, 73, passed away December 6, 2016 at Wake Forest Baptist Health. She was born June 17, 1943 in Wake County, NC to the late William Lee Glover, Sr. and Betty Barden Glover. Mrs. Braswell was a member of Clemmons Presbyterian Church. She received her undergraduate degree from Mars Hill University, obtained her Master of Education degree from The University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, and Masters of School Administration from Campbell University. She was a teacher and principal for the Durham and Wake County public schools system. Her faith in God and her compassion for those in need represent the dedicated, generous and gracious person that she was. She was very active and supportive of numerous charitable organizations. She will always be remembered as a loving and caring mother, grandmother, and loyal friend. Mrs. Braswell is survived by her loving husband of 51 years, Charles Marion Braswell; her daughter, Katie Hutchens and husband Ricky; her son, Gill Braswell and wife Amy; three grandchildren, Kaylee, Lauren, and Jacob Hutchens; her sister, Sarah Bridges; her brother, William Glover and wife Martha. She is also survived by many other loving ""Family"" members. A Celebration of Life service will be held at 3:00pm, Saturday, December 10, 2016 at Bermuda Village Retirement Community with the Rev. Dr. William Hoyle of Clemmons Presbyterian Church officiating. Inurnment will be at a later date at Clemmons Presbyterian Church Columbarium.
