Betty Coe

Mrs. Betty Roberts Coe, 86, passed away Sunday March 12, 2023. She was born November 13, 1936, in Surry County to the late Carl Woodson Roberts and Ruby Blizard Roberts. Betty had a strong faith and love for the Lord that she showed through the sharing of her testimony and the godly example that she set in life. For twenty-eight years she owned and operated Coe Electrolysis and before that was a nurse for seventeen years. Betty also enjoyed dancing with her husband, cooking, both reading and writing poetry, dressing well, and decorating her house. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her loving husband, Steve Holland Coe, and a son; Arvil Steve Coe II. Betty is survived by her three children; David M. Coe, S. Hope Brown (Wes), and Eric T. Coe, fourteen grandchildren, seventeen great-grandchildren, and two brothers; Wade Roberts and Jim Roberts. A funeral service will be conducted 2:00 PM Friday March 17, 2023, at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints Pilot Mountain with Bishop Kevin Haynie officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the church. Burial will follow the service at Oakdale Cemetery in Mount Airy.
