Betty Dosher Martin

Mrs. Betty Dosher Martin, 93, passed away Monday, May 12, 2025, at Mallard Ridge Assisted Living in Clemmons, NC. She was born December 7, 1931, in Forsyth County, NC to the late Washington Lafayette Dosher and Ada Moser Dosher. Betty was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and sister. She retired from Sara Lee after 43 years of service. Betty was a lifelong member at Hickory Ridge United Methodist Church. While attending Hickory Ridge United Methodist Church, Betty was involved with the United Methodist women, vacation bible school, and cooking for community outreach meals. In addition, she loved watching ACC basketball, sewing, gardening, and cooking.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Arthur Ray Martin. Betty is survived by her two daughters, Vickie Hall (Glenn) and Penny Barrier (Joel); 6 grandchildren, Nick Stapleton, Adam Hall (Amy), Chris Stapleton (Kristy), Cari Murphy (Stephen), Brooke Barrier, and Matthew Barrier; 10 great-grandchildren; sister, Kay Gordy (Ray); sister-in-law, Jeryline Martin; and many nieces, nephews, and cousins.

A funeral service will be conducted 2pm Friday, May 16, 2025, at Hickory Ridge United Methodist Church with Rev. Bob Kerr officiating. Burial will follow at Crestview Memorial Park. The family will receive friends an hour prior to the service at the church. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Hickory Ridge United Methodist Church.
