Betty Lou Cook Frazier, 98, of Winston-Salem, NC died January 2nd, 2026 at the Kate B. Reynolds Hospice House. She was born June 25th, 1927 in Winston-Salem to the late Thurman Collins Cook and Eloise Thornton Cook. Betty graduated from James A. Gray High School where she played softball. She married Ronald Culley Frazier, Sr. in 1949. She worked for the Winston-Salem Merchants Association Credit Bureau until the birth of their first child. Betty considered homemaking and child rearing her vocation and as part of that vocation she hand sewed clothes for the family, including grandchildren. She spent her free time refinishing furniture, caning chairs and weaving baskets for household use, many of which won first place at the Carolina Classic Fair. Later in life she took up crochet and jewelry making. While living at Heritage Woods Retirement Community, Betty volunteered to run the community store, to serve on the Residents’ Council and to call the twice weekly Bingo games. She was preceded in death by her loving husband Ronald of 55 years and her beloved sister, Barbara Wolff. She is survived by her children Ron Frazier, Jr. (Janet), Lisa Frazier Gallaher (Jim) and Laura Frazier (Ken Vanhoy) all of Forsyth County. She has three amazing grandchildren Lisette Gallaher, Josh Phelps and Noah Frazier-Logue and many nieces and nephews. A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
