Betty Mabe Gutierrez

Kernersville – Mrs. Betty Jean Mabe Gutierrez, 75, passed away March 23, 2024, at Kernersville Medical Center. She was born March 6, 1949, in Forsyth County to the late Irvin Mabe and Hessie Calhoun Mabe. Betty was a loving mother and aunt. She was very generous, loved her family, her dog, Bella, and the Lord. Mrs. Gutierrez enjoyed dancing and crafts. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Lawrence Chandler, two brothers, Bill and Bobby Mabe, three sisters, Jo Ann Walton, Mary Mabe, and Dianne Mabe. 

Left to cherish her memory are one son Bryan Chandler and his wife June, one dog Bella, and many special nieces and nephews. 

The family will receive friends Saturday, March 30, 2024, from 2:00 PM – 4:00 PM at Hayworth-Miller Kernersville Chapel.
