Betty Lou Chitty Hutchinson

ClemmonsBetty Lou Chitty Hutchinson, 85, passed away Tuesday, October 22, 2013 at her home. She was born January 1, 1928 in Forsyth County to the late Charles and Jennie Warner Chitty. Mrs. Hutchinson retired from R.J. Reynolds Tobacco Co. as an Executive Secretary with 40 years of service. She was a faithful and active lifelong member of Concord United Methodist Church. She was a member of Twin City Chapter #60, Order of the Eastern Star for 56 years. Preceding her in death was her husband, Elbert Lawrence Hutchinson. Surviving is a daughter, Cindy Hutchinson Simpson and husband Ron of Rutherfordton, NC; granddaughter, Caroline Jennie Simpson; a number of cousins; special friends, Wilma Jones, Billie Holton, Suzanne Carroll, and Donna Boyles. A funeral service will be held 3:00 PM Thursday, October 24, 2013 at Concord United Methodist Church with Rev. Michael Flack, Rev. Tom Albert, and Rev. Edwin Needham officiating. Burial will follow at the church cemetery. The family will receive friends following the service in the church family life center. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Concord United Methodist Church Family Life Center Principal, 8955 Concord Church Road, Lewisville, NC 27023.
