Betty Brannock Inabinet left us on June 17, 2018 and joined her "sister" Bobbi and dear friend Alma, both whom she had kept in her heart for these many years. Born in Forsyth County on April 12, 1936, she was preceded in death by her parents, Curtis "Paw Paw" and Margie "Granny" Brannock; her brothers, Bob (Ruth), Dean (Betty Dean), Danny (Jean). She is survived by her husband, Jim "Ab"; daughter, Cheri (Jim) Simpson; son, Scott (fiance Londa); granddaughter, Meghan (Brian) Holihan, whom occupied a special place in her heart; brothers, George (Mackie) and Don (Brenda); sister, Mary (Ben) Hege; my brother Rhett (Robin); my sister, Ann (Bernie) Lackman; several nephews and nieces; and dear friends, Becky and Kathy. Betty graduated from Mineral Springs High School where she was editor of the 1954 year book, The Larenium, and a member of several clubs and organizations. She worked for Wachovia Bank, Winston-Salem Savings and Loan, Community Drug, MediPack Pharmacy and had a small business of her own, Touch of Glitz where she made and sold various types of craft items. Bet loved her family and friends with no reservations and all her heart and this love was returned. Bet and I were married 61 plus years with never a word of anger directed at each other, we were sweethearts, best friends, and confidants. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, June 20, at Hayworth-Miller Funeral Home in Rural Hall. The Celebration of Life for Bet will be held 11:00 a.m. Thursday, June 21, at Hayworth-Miller Rural Hall Chapel. Burial will follow at Forsyth Memorial Park. The family would like to thank all the doctors and nurses at Forsyth Hospital for her wonderful care and understanding, especially doctors Johnson, Murphy, Gilbert, and Stinson and all the nurses in the Palliative Care Unit. No one could have done more. Also her regular physicians and PA's whose care let us keep Bet with us the last few years: Dr. Laurienti, Dr. Gilliland, Dr. Keith (her buddy), PA's Camilla and Jane. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that you send a donation to either Winston-Salem Rescue Mission, 718 N. Trade Street, Winston-Salem, NC 27101, or to the Palliative Care Unit, Novant Health Foundation Forsyth Medical Center, 3333 Silas Creek Parkway, Box 2, Winston-Salem, NC 27103. ‘Bye Babe. Love you the mostest'. ~Ab
