Betty Pierce

Betty Smith Pierce, 88, passed away on Tuesday, August 21, 2018 at South Fork Assisted Living in Winston-Salem.
Betty was born in Moore County on November 14, 1929 to the late Fred Lee and Gertrude McGee Smith.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Daniel Pierce; her parents; and 6 siblings.
Surviving family includes her daughter, Lori Crutchfield and husband Wade of Winston-Salem; son, Daniel "Scott" Pierce and wife Elizabeth of Clemmons; six grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.
The family would like the extend a special thank you to the staff of Brookstone of Clemmons, South Fork Assisted Living and Hospice and Palliative Care of Forsyth County for the excellent care and compassion they gave to Betty.
A funeral service will be held on Saturday, August 25, 2018 at 11:00 AM at Grace Baptist Church, 3305 Peters Creek Parkway in Winston-Salem, with Rev. Jim Bush officiating. The family will receive friends from 10:00 - 11:00 AM at the church prior to the service. A committal service will held at 3:00 PM on Saturday at Cameron Cemetery in Cameron, NC.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Hospice and Palliative Care of Forsyth County: 101 Hospice Ln, Winston-Salem, NC 27103.
