Betty Pegram Robinson

HIGH POINT - Betty Caroline Pegram Robinson, 83, formerly of Colfax, was promoted to heaven on Friday, January 15, 2016 at Westchester Manor.
She was born April 11, 1932 in Guilford County, a daughter of Ernest Nicholas Pegram and Ora Joyce Pegram. She was a 1950 graduate of Stokesdale High School. Betty was employed for several years as a claims supervisor with the Teamsters Union Local 391. She was later self-employed as an income tax preparer for 33 years. She was a member of Shady Grove Wesleyan Church and a former member of Smith Grove Baptist Church. Betty was married to Olin Andrew Robinson on February 1, 1953, who predeceased her on March 30, 1997. Her parents and brothers, Joel Pegram, Charles Pegram and Bill Pegram also preceded her in death.
Surviving are one son and his wife, Kevin and Sandra Robinson of Colfax; a brother Richard Pegram and wife, Betty, of Summerfield; a sister, Shirley Lee and husband, Roy, of Summerfield; sisters-in-law, Joanne Pegram of Colfax and Hazel King of Asheboro; and several nieces and nephews.
A funeral service will be conducted at 2:00 p.m. Monday, January 18, 2016 at Hayworth-Miller Kernersville Chapel with Rev. Phil Kirkman, Rev. Sam White and Rev. Craig Walker officiating. Interment will follow at Smith Grove Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends Sunday, January 17, from 6:00 - 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
