Betty Gelean Walker Winesett

Mrs. Betty Gelean Walker Winesett, 89, passed away Thursday, March 28, 2024, at Universal Healthcare of King. She was born May 24, 1934, in Surry County, NC to the late Sanders Walker and Mary Moxley Walker. Betty was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. She enjoyed spending time with her family and painting. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Marvin Alexander Winesett. She is survived by her son, Marvin Alan Winesett and his wife Anna Bray Winesett; four grandchildren, Aaron Nathaniel Winesett, Thomas Bray Winesett, Lucy Winesett Howard and husband Josiah Howard, and Grace Winesett Graudin and husband Riley Graudin; one great-grandchild Liya Jane Howard; a sister, Helen Poore; and a brother, Larry Walker.
