Beverly Ann Moreth Baran, 79, of Winston Salem, passed away Friday, December 11, 2015. She was born in Syracuse, New York on July 3, 1936 to Leonard and Regina Doherty Moreth. She loved being with her family and watching them interact. She was a blood and platelet donor for many years with the American Red Cross and retired from J.C. Penny after 35 years of service. Beverly's legacy will live on and on in the many lives she touched with her selfless acts of kindness.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Conrad Baran, a sister, Mary Elizabeth Kalfass, and a great-granddaughter, Vylet Skye Gordon. Surviving are three daughters, Melissa Ann Baran, Michelle Baran Malcom, and Jennifer Baran (David) Flood, a sister, Barbara Moreth Connolly, and sister and brother in law, Tina and George Schmid, four grandchildren, Amber Malcom (Justin) Gordon, Mark Malcom III, Nash Baran Flood, and Hayden John Flood, three Great-Grandchildren, Bryson Malcom, Lexie Hodgson, and Clayton Gordon, several nieces and nephews and many adopted and extended family. A memorial service will be held Wednesday, December 16, 2015 at 4:00 pm at Hayworth Miller Silas Creek Chapel with Rev. Anthony Wilson officiating. The visitation will be 1 hour prior to the service. A graveside service will follow at Westlawn Gardens of Memory in Clemmons. Memorials may be made to the American Red Cross, 690 Coliseum Drive, Winston-Salem, NC 27103.
