Billie Caudle Crater

CRATER Mrs. Billie Caudle Crater, 84, of Winston-Salem, passed away Sunday, December 22, 2013 at her home. She was born September 16, 1929 in Forsyth County to Thomas Oliver and Lola Williams Caudle. Mrs. Crater was a member of Vernon Forest Baptist Church all her life. She retired from Western Electric with many years of loyal service. She enjoyed shopping flea markets and painting. She was a kind and loving lady to all her family and friends. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Norman Crater; two brothers, Herman and Jimmy; and a sister, Nancy Harrell. Surviving are one daughter, Karen O'Neal of Newnan, GA; one granddaughter, Holly Pourhassan and husband Cameron of GA; one sister, Judy Caudle Michaels and husband Roger of Clover, SC; one brother, Michael Caudle and wife Eula of Temple, GA; and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Saturday at Vernon Forest Baptist Church with the Rev. James M. Brown officiating. Burial will follow in Parklawn Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m. Friday at Hayworth-Miller Silas Creek Chapel.
