Billy Ray Brabham

Billy Ray Brabham, 74, went home to be with the Lord on the morning of Saturday, October 1, 2016, at Forsyth Medical Center in Winston-Salem, NC, surrounded by his family and Pastor Jeff Clawson. He enjoyed a life full of love, laughter, and the blessing of always being with family. He was known for his love, jokes, the Dallas Cowboys, and Duke Basketball. He enjoyed a long career in computer programming. He also had a strong and admirable faith in the Good Lord. He was preceded in death by his loving wife of 52 years, Judy Anne Woodruff Brabham. He was born October 15, 1941 in Enterprise, Alabama. The son of Virginia Brabham Hardee and the late Clarence Ray Brabham. He grew up with his brothers on Lake Sinclair where they shared a love for the water. He still continued to enjoy fishing trips with his brothers through the years. He is survived by his mother, Virginia Brabham Hardee of Milledgeville, Ga., his brothers, Bobby Brabham (Sandra) of Birmingham , Al., and Jerry Brabham (Jennifer) of Milledgeville, Ga., his children, Deborah Anne Heath (Rodney) of Pfafftown, NC, Dana Michele Perry of King, NC., Donnie Michael Brabham (Nancy) of New Smyrna Beach, Fl., Danielle Hull of Pfafftown, several grandchildren and 1 great grandchild, and his Fiancée, Loma Bolt of Sugar Hill, Ga. Funeral services will be conducted at 6:30 p.m. Tuesday, October 4, 2016 at Hayworth-Miller Chapel in Rural Hall with Rev. Jeff Clawson officiating. Visitation will immediately follow the service. Graveside services will be conducted at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, October 5, 2016 at Rural Hall Memorial Park.
