Mr. Billy Ray Stanley, 72, of Winston-Salem, left this life to receive his eternal reward on Monday, March 19, 2018, while with his brother Kenneth. Mr. Stanley was born on August 26, 1946, to Jesse A. and Ida Mae Stanley. Billy was a plumber/pipefitter by trade during his working career and travelled throughout the country. After retiring, he moved back to his hometown and resided there until his home-going. In his spare time, Billy enjoyed painting where he opened his own website for his religious inspired folk art. Billy loved the Lord and sharing his faith. He worked with various prison ministries in the Central Louisiana area while he resided in Pollock, LA, in the 1980's. He was preceded in death by his parents, Jesse and Ida Mae Stanley; and one brother, Larry A. Stanley. Those left to mourn his loss and cherish his memory include three sons, Bill Richardson and wife Jennifer of New Jersey, Shane Broadstreet of Winston-Salem, NC, Joshua Stanley and wife Rebeca of Dallas, TX; one brother, Kenneth Stanley of Winston-Salem, NC; two sisters, Linda Boles and husband Larry of Advance, NC, and Kathy Stanley of Winston-Salem, NC; and five grandchildren, Holden Richardson, Hunter Richardson, Riley Richardson, Will Richardson, and Cody Ray Atkins. A memorial service will be held at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday, March 24, 2018, at Hayworth-Miller Silas Creek Chapel with Pastor Doug Klein officiating. The family will receive friends on hour prior to the service.
