Mrs. Blanche Landingham Redding, 89, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, September 12, 2018 at her residence. She was born on October 26, 1928 in Forsyth County to Grover Cleveland and Nellie Pike Landingham. She was the gentle and sweet matriarch of her family. Her job was being a wonderful mother, grandmother, and great grandmother.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her loving husband, Harold B. Redding; a son, Gary Grover Redding; a granddaughter, Lyndsie Wood; two brothers; Johnny Landingham, and G.C. Landingham, Jr.; and two sisters, Bobbie Jean Easter, and Veatrice Elliott.
She is survived by two children, Diane Garrison (husband, Charles) and Carol R. Wood (husband, Michael) all of Kernersville; four grandchildren, Gina Wagoner (husband, Marc), Heather Mitchell (husband, Jon), Fallon Morris, and Derek Morris; seven great grandchildren, Chad Wagoner, Lori Wagoner, Ashlyn El Badla (her father, Adil), Kerington Morris, Landon Mitchell, Carter Mitchell, and MaKinley Morris; and two sisters, Geneva Mosteller and Evelyn Beeson; and one brother, Harry Lee Landingham. The family would like to extend their gratitude to the staff of Hospice of the Piedmont in High Point as well as special thanks to Delores Clark, the newest member of their family.
A memorial service for Blanche will be held at 2:00 pm on Sunday, September 16, 2018 at Crews United Methodist Church with Pastor Ashley Cyre and Mr. Steve Easter officiating. The family will receive friends following the service in the church fellowship hall. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Hospice of the Piedmont in High Point at 1801 Westchester Dr, High Point, NC 27262. Hayworth-Miller Kernersville Chapel is assisting the family.
