Blenda Pickett Weaver

Blenda Pickett Weaver passed away July 19, 2014 at Forsyth Medical Center. She was born July 30, 1957 to Richard Pickett and Doris Epley Pickett in Davidson County. Blenda graduated from Lexington High School in 1975. She enjoyed working with children in a variety of roles including, Teacher Assistant and Bus Driver at Northwest Elementary School. Having a servant's heart, she was also a blessing to the youth of her church. But most of all, she will be remembered as a great Mom and Nana. Blenda is survived by her loving husband and best friend, Jerry Weaver; children, Corey Weaver (Jessica), and Jason Weaver; grandchildren, Cristian and Cortland Weaver; mother, Doris Pickett, father, Richard Pickett (Mary Ann); sister, Sherri Harris, and brother, Richard Pickett, Jr. A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, July 23 at Hayworth-Miller Silas Creek Parkway with Rev. Ken Harris officiating. Interment will follow at New Vision Baptist Worship Center Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Tuesday from 6:00-8:00 PM at the funeral home.
