Bobby Daniel

Kernersville - Bobby Julian Daniel, 84, passed away Tuesday, September 19, 2017. Bobby was born on May 19, 1933 in Granville County to Samuel and Gladys Hobgood Daniel. He was a member of First Baptist Church of Kernersville, where he was a deacon, taught Sunday School and sang in the choir. Bobby retired from AT&T with over 27 years of service and taught at Oak Ridge Military Academy for 12 years.
In addition to his parents, Bobby was preceded in death by his daughter, Alison Lynn Daniel, five brothers, Dorsey, Allen, Frank, Luther and Sam Daniel, Jr., one sister, Marianna Daniel Berry. Surviving are his wife of 57 years, Bonnie Daniel; two daughters, Heather Daniel Frost of Atlanta and Holly Daniel of Kernersville; five grandchildren, Cody, Dylan, Blake, and Brett Frost and Alison Zappia; one sister, Betty Upchurch of West Jefferson; and one brother, William Daniel of Graham. A funeral service will be held at 1:30 p.m. Friday, September 22, 2017 at First Baptist Church of Kernersville with Dr. Stephen Martin officiating. Burial will follow at Mt. Gur Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6:00 - 8:00 p.m. Thursday, September 21, at Hayworth Miller Kernersville Chapel. Memorials in honor of Bobby may be made to the donor's choice.
