Bobby James Hackler

Bobby James Hackler, 74, of Kernersville, NC passed away peacefully on Monday, February 2, 2026, at Forsyth Medical Center. He was born to the late Elmer Richard Hackler and Nannie Blackburn Hackler on January 7, 1952, in Grayson County, Virginia.

Bobby graduated from East Forsyth High School in 1971. He enjoyed many hobbies including fishing at Emerald Isle and gardening in his flower beds.

Bobby was a huge family man. He spent many years traveling all over the country with his beloved wife, Jean. Bobby always looked forward to family gatherings where he could eat and socialize. He loved his daughter, “Sam”, twin granddaughters, and John, his son-in-law that he cherished as his own. Bobby was often found showing off his twin granddaughters to anyone he met, his two “peanuts” that he was so proud of.

In addition to his parents, Bobby is preceded in death by his brother, Charles “Billy” Hackler; and sister, Kathy Peoples.

He is survived by his loving wife of 54 years, Jean Shore Hackler; daughter, Sandi Fields (John); granddaughters, Gracey Fields, and Macey Fields; brother, Ken Hackler (Sherri); and sister, Kristi McNeil (Chad).

In honor of Bobbys wishes there will be no formal services held at this time.
