Bobby Frank Kiger

Mr. Bobby Frank Kiger, age 80, went to be with the Lord Thursday, December 10, 2015 at Forsyth Medical Center. He was born December 26, 1934 in Forsyth County to the late Zora Parrish Kiger and Hugh Franklin Kiger. Bob was saved for 64 years and faithfully served his Saviour, Jesus Christ in many capacities. He was a choir director for several churches, including Gospel Light Baptist for 16 years. In addition he served in bus ministries, various singing groups, ordained deacon and most importantly exemplified a testimony for Jesus Christ in all he served. His ""big handshake"" was a symbol of the love and friendliness he had for people. He was a loving and dedicated husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, and all who knew him will remember him as a ""Hero of the Faith"". He is preceded in death by his parents; first wife, Betty Kiger; brother, Allen Kiger. He is survived by his wife, Carolyn; son, Randy (Melissa) Kiger; daughter, Teri (JR) Wilcox; step children, Frankie (Tanya) Bryan; Todd (Anna) Bryan; Lynn (Richie) Viola; two sisters, Marlene (Bill) Whicker, Pat Bowman; numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and extended family. A funeral service will be conducted 2:00 P.M. Monday, December 14, 2015 at Woodland Baptist Church with Rev. Tim Gammons and Dr. Bobby Roberson officiating. Interment will follow at Gardens of Memory, 5676 Old Walkertown Road, Walkertown, N.C. The family will receive friends at the church 12:30 to 1:45pm prior to the service.
