Bobby Venable

Mr. Bobby Gene Venable, 83, passed away Friday, December 15, 2017 at Forsyth Medical Center. He was born in Stokes County on May 27, 1934 the son of the late Samuel Harvel Venable and Ida Simmons Venable. Bobby was retired from R. J. Reynolds Tobacco Co. and was a longtime member of First Baptist Church of Stanleyville and the Lion's Club. He was a kind and caring man who loved people and will be missed by all who knew him. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his loving wife of 64 years, Louise Hauser Venable; two brothers, Harry Venable and Alan Venable; and two sisters, Betty Vaden and Thelma King. Bobby is survived by a daughter, Wendy Venable; a granddaughter, Kayelah Venable; two brothers, Billy and Darrell Venable and a sister, Helen V. Hall. Funeral services will be conducted 2:00 PM Tuesday, December 19 at First Baptist Church of Stanleyville with Rev. Eddie Honeycutt and Rev. T. Elliot Welch officiating. Burial will follow at Crestview Memorial Park in Rural Hall. The family will receive friends from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM prior to the service at the church. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to The First Baptist Church of Stanleyville, 851 Ziglar Rd. Winston-Salem, NC 27105.
