Mr. Bobby Ray Young, Sr., 86, of Winston Salem passed away Thursday, January 3, 2019, at Trellis Supportive Care. He was born May 29, 1932 in Angier, N.C. to the late Troy and Lois Watkins Young. Bobby Ray Young was a loving husband, father and grandfather. He was a successful entrepreneur that lived a full life, having served in the US Army, graduating from East Carolina University and developing many businesses. Bob was a driven business success, yet a kind and giving man. He always reached out to people in need and tried to help them better their lives in so many ways; whether it be through mentoring and coaching them in business or teaching them the values of meditation, exercise, and proper nutrition. He always understood the importance of kindness, patience and empathy towards others. He played competitive tennis his entire life and practiced Tai Chi in his senior years. He enjoyed continued education in business and health, and especially enjoyed sharing and learning with others. Preceding him in death are six sisters and a brother. Surviving are his wife, Jackie Young; two sons: Bobby Ray Young, Jr. and wife Debbie and Joe Young and wife Chasity; three grandchildren: Blake, Davis, and Whitley; and a sister, Beatrice Carol of Garner. A celebration of life will be held at Bermuda Run Country Club on Sunday, (Due to weather) January 20, 2019 at 2:00 PM.
