Bonner Ray McCraw Jr.

Kernersville – Bonner Ray McCraw, Jr., 65, passed away on Sunday, August 25, 2024, at Kernersville Medical Center. He was born on September 25, 1958, in Cherokee County, SC to Bonner Ray McCraw, Sr. and Gayle Loftis McCraw. He moved to Kernersville in 1968.

Bonner was a simple man. He loved his wife, Robin, more than anything. He loved his daughters and grandchildren and was constantly taking care of them. PawPaw was the man! Bonner was a Christian and loved his faith and his country.

Bonner also loved music – play him some old Southern Rock or the Blues and he was happy. He liked to play pool and often could be found on Monday nights in a weekly pool tournament. Bonner loved motorcycles, especially older bikes and their history – nothing beats a Shovelhead!

In addition to his parents, he was preceded by in death by his youngest brother, Phillip McCraw.

Left to cherish his memory are his wife of 40 years, Robin Collins McCraw; three daughters, Melissa Roth, Krista McCraw and Laura McCraw; nine grandchildren, Tarah, Amara, Tyler, Emily, Kabri, Khloe, Chance, Charlie Tanner, and Gracie; one great granddaughter, Ariah; two brothers, Barry McCraw (Rita), and Lewis McCraw (Vicky); a special cousin, Stacy Stafford (Dwayne); many nephews, nieces, and cousins; a brother-in-law, Dennis Collins; and very special friends, Randy Jones and B.J. Durham.

A funeral service will be held at 1:00 p.m., Friday, August 30, 2024, with Rev. Dennis Collins officiating at Hayworth-Miller Kernersville Chapel. Burial will follow at Eastlawn Gardens of Memory. The family will receive friends from 11:30 – 12:45 prior to the service at the funeral home. Bonner would want you to be in casual attire and on a motorcycle if you ride!
