Bonnie Johnson Hayes

Mrs. Bonnie Johnson Hayes, 68, passed away on August 28, 2016 at Forsyth Medical Center. Bonnie was born on August 29, 1947 in Forsyth Co., NC to Floyd David and Lola Dyson Johnson. She was a member of New Beginnings Baptist Church and loved witnessing for The Lord. She retired from AT&T with 28 years of service. She was a professional Nanna but foremost and most importantly, she was a loving wife, mother and grandmother. She was preceded in death by her loving husband Larry James Hayes, Sr.; her parents and her daughter, Wendy Hayes. Bonnie is survived by her sons, Larry J. Hayes, Jr. (Angela) of Winston-Salem; Paul David Hayes (Debbie) of Hamptonville, NC; Shane Hayes (Sharon) of Pfafftown; nine grandchildren, Tony, Samuel, Morgan, Paul, Jr. Quinton, Owen, Nate, Jaclyn, Zeke Hayes; six sisters, Carolyn, Jeanette, Linda, Betty, Nancy and Shirley. A funeral service will be conducted at 6:00 PM Wednesday, August 31, 2016 at New Beginnings Baptist Church in Hamptonville, NC with Pastor Shane Hayes and Preacher Paul David Hayes officiating. Interment will follow at New Beginnings Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6-8 PM Tuesday, August 30, 2016 at Hayworth-Miller Silas Creek Chapel.
