Bonnie Idol

Mrs. Bonnie Marie Beeson Idol, age 75, passed away peacefully on Thursday, April 19, 2018. Bonnie was the second daughter of Thomas and Margaret Beeson, born October 5, 1942, in Forsyth County. She graduated from Mineral Springs High School and worked at Integon Insurance company before becoming a stay at home mom.
Bonnie is survived by her husband of 52 years, Warren Idol; her children, Kristi and Michael and their spouses Rob and Jen; her sister, Linda Brown; two nieces, Teresa Brown and Sheila Stone; and three beloved granddaughters, Lauren, Hallie, and Rose. She was preceded in death by her parents and her brother-in-law, Archie Brown.
Bonnie had a great love for her family, friends, and church. She always put everyone before herself. She was the center of our family and is greatly missed. We will cherish her memory and all of the wonderful adventures we had, from our cross-country tour of the United States, to numerous Disney and Universal trips, annual visits to Cape Hatteras for fishing, various stops in the U.S and Canada to watch Michael play baseball, and a very special family trip to Washington, DC last summer.
Bonnie was the best wife, mom, and Mema we could ask for. An exceptional cook, each family member got a special meal and cake of their choosing for their birthday, a highly anticipated event. However, our most memorable times came from daily life, as our family enjoyed dinners together frequently, with Bonnie doing the cooking. She loved to cook a ten-course meal for us to enjoy. Her family was of the utmost importance and joy of her life. She is missed tremendously.
The family will receive visitors on Sunday, April 22 from 5 pm until 7 pm at Pisgah United Methodist Church in Kernersville, NC. Funeral services will be held at Pisgah United Methodist Church on Monday, April 23 at 11 am with Rev. Bill Currie officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that memorials be made to Pisgah United Methodist Church. Hayworth-Miller Kernersville Chapel is assisting the Idol family.
