Bonnie Sue Marlow Sapp, 87, passed away on Thursday, December 29, 2022 at Forsyth Medical Center. Bonnie was born on August 1, 1935 in Wilkes County to the late Sherman and Oma Marlow. She was a longtime member of Grapevine Baptist Church in Lewisville. Bonnie enjoyed crocheting blankets and quilts for family and friends. She also enjoyed watching the birds in her yard, gardening and spending time at the beach. In addition to her parents, Bonnie was preceded in death by her husband, Eugene “Monk” Sapp, Sr.; son, Eugene “Gene” Sapp, Jr.; and brother, Norman Marlow. Surviving family includes three children, Debbie Fulk (Mark), Gail Smith (Mike) and Becky Smith; daughter-in-law, Sabrina Sapp; eight grandchildren, Jason Smith (Gidget), Brittany Dawson (Brooke), Michelle Ashley (Adam), Kristi Pilkenton (Aaron), Katie Munn (Spencer), Morgan Foster (Zac), Jordan Sapp and Taylore Hill; and ten great-grandchildren. A funeral service will be held at 1:00 PM on Wednesday, January 4, 2023 at Grapevine Baptist Church, with Pastor Ronnie Comer officiating. Burial will immediately follow the service at Westlawn Gardens of Memory. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the church.
