Born in Winston-Salem, NC on April 7, 1990. Brandon graduated from West Forsyth High School and attended Forsyth Tech to earn a degree in Electrical Systems. He was a painter by trade and started his own business, "Beyond the Brush" in 2024. Brandon loved music and taught himself to play the guitar at an early age. He had a special gift of writing his own music and singing. Brandon never met a stranger; he made an impact on everyone. Brandon loved the outdoors and worked in Lawn Care for a brief while. He loved his family and especially family dinners and beach vacation with extended family.
Brandon was preceded in death by his parents, Brian and Samantha. He is survived by his brothers, Dustin and Michael and sister Emma, his grandparents that raised him, Lanny and Debra (Nanny) Mathis, also his grandparents, Charles and Jo Perrell, a special Aunt, Tracey Johnson, (Steve), cousins, Steven Johnson (Emmie), Maddox, Joseph, Aurora and his best little friends, Jonah and Charlie.
Brandon will be remembered for his laughter and love for his family and friends. His smile and wit were gifts to everyone that knew him. Brandon was outgoing, determined and very opinionated. His music was a natural talent, and he loved playing and singing for others.
We love you Bubba, now go rest on that mountain.
